Can the elderly use a cell phone instead of the best medical emergency necklace to call for emergency help?

I spoke to a woman in Illinois yesterday who was calling to ask about our medical emergency necklace for her mother.  She had bought her mother a cell phone in case of emergencies.  Over the weekend her mother had a bad fall while taking a shower and laid on the shower floor for hours until her she luckily came over and was able to call for help.

This shows one of the downsides of relying on a cell phone to protect a senior instead of a personal alert.  A cell phone can’t be worn at all times, like in the shower or bath.  A medical emergency necklace to protect the ones you love is the best way to keep them safe.
