Medical Alarm Systems Work for the Deaf & Blind

We get a lot of relatives who call for their senior relatives who have some severe handicaps. One woman was worried about her blind father being able to use our medical alarm system. The system works great for the blind as the only thing that needs to be pushed is the emergency button on the medical pendant. Then, they will hear the voice over the speaker box and be able to communicate with our dispatch to see if it is a true emergency.

Another person asked me, what if the senior is deaf? In this case, he or she will still be able to push the emergency button in an emergency situation. Even if the senior cannot respond to the speaker box, Senior Safety will interpret this as an emergency and immediately dispatch paramedics. Senior Safety serves the handicapped community, so this should not be a concern when purchasing a medical alert system.
