Senior medical alert devices need a home telephone service to work

by Jeff Miller

in Medical Alert,Senior Medical Alert

With any senior medical alert company that you are looking into you will need to have a home telephone service to have service. This is because your medical alert plugs into the phone jack on your wall and uses your phone service to connect you to our monitoring center in an emergency. As you know, home telephone services (cable packages, DSL, or a normal landline) are more reliable than cell phone service. Cell phones are known for sometimes not having a signal, getting bad reception, and even dropping calls. Ultimately, you don’t want the senior medical alert that you use in an emergency to be hooked into an unreliable service. If you don’t have a home phone, you can add a phone service to your cable package or add a simple landline at a reasonable price!
