Alert Button Helps Seniors Live Independently

Having an alert button helps our elderly family members feel safe while living at home alone and independently. No doubt these alert buttons must be reliable and affordable. What makes Senior Safety the best alert button is the high quality of our monitoring service along with our caring customer service representatives.

Sometimes an elderly person finds them self in a dangerous or possibly awkward situation. This could be a medical emergency, a fire situation, or even an intruder. In all of these scenarios, having a button to push when a senior can't reach the phone is crucial.

Having our "Rock Solid" alert button gives you and your loved ones the ability to send that important signal that help is needed to both the paramedics and to your family. Time is of the essence during all emergencies. Our monitoring center will know mom or dad is in trouble within 20–30 seconds, in most cases, and dispatch whatever help they need. We stay on the line to talk to them until help arrives at the home when necessary.

Senior citizens love us because we care.

Jeff's best test for all alarm representatives you call

Here is a simple test when you talk to their representatives. When it comes time that they ask you for the order after telling you about their alert button system and service tell them that you want to think about it.

Now listen for the fun or aggravation to start, the pushy sales types will keep asking for your credit card or bank account information… over and over again.

Then simply ask for a brochure. You will find them giving you a hard time by saying things like:

  1. It will take a week or more to receive the brochure, why don't you order now.
  2. You don't have to check with your mom seniors never want an alert button, just give me your credit card.
  3. Whatever you do, don't give them your phone number. Watch, the next day they will call you by capturing your caller ID, and they will be far more aggressive about you ordering now and giving them your credit card or your bank account details again.

Just learn to say NO and sit back and watch the fun.

Take the Time to Make an Informed Decision

Call everyone and order their brochure… you will quickly detect with your "gut meter" who is good and who makes you feel uncomfortable.

Be careful not to sign any long term contracts… they are impossible to get out of.
I'm just sayin'

We have no long term agreements, you can cancel at any time and we give you a 30 day money back guarantee.

Yes we are available in every single town in the United States, even if your home is in a rural area.

Medical Alert Issues

How will the paramedics get in my home when I push the Alert Button?

Open
I'm planning on purchasing your alert button for my mother who lives alone in Portland after checking online for the best system.  My main concern would be what would happen if she pressed her button and the paramedics came to her home.  How would they get inside the home?

Joan
Portland, OR

Hi Joan,

We provide a free lock box with every alert button order that you can attach by the door. Inside the combination lock you can place a secure key to the home. In the event of an emergency we will tell the paramedics the location and combination of the lock box so they can safely get inside the home without breaking the door down.

I hope this helps,

Senior Center Health Fair in Connecticut offers Blood Pressure Screenings which is a great idea if you have an Alert Button

Open
If you are a senior living alone at home with an alert button it's important to get your health checked often. That's why we love to hear about different communities doing their part to help seniors. A Senior Health center in Montville, Connecticut recently held their annual health fair which brought seniors together to get important health information and blood pressure screenings.

Taking care of your health, checking your blood pressure consistently and using a fall alert are all important steps for a senior to remain healthy and safe. [Read More...]

Is your alert button monitoring local in Louisiana or a national center?

Open
I've read your monitoring center is in California, but my mother lives in Louisiana. Is there any benefit to a local or regional alert button monitoring center rather than a national one?

Louis L.
Shreveport, LA

Hi Louis, it takes the same amount of time for our monitoring center to connect to someone in California as it does for them to connect to your mother in Louisiana. Because our system connects to the monitoring on an 800 number, there will be no long distance charges to your mom's phone bill either. Having a larger national center allows for more redundancy and ultimately better service.

I hope this helps.

Choosing your mother's alert button...

Open

When you are ordering one of our medical alerts, it's important to talk to mom about what type of alert button she wants to wear. She will need to wear this button at all times so she should have a button that is comfortable for her. With our medical alert service, we provide either a necklace or a wristband. One button comes standard with the service and additional buttons can be purchased for $35.00 each as needed. I recommend talking to mom about what sort of button she would like for her medical alerts service. If she is not comfortable with her help button, she may not work wearing it at all times into her daily routine. So it's crucial to involve her in that decision. There are a few different factors to consider when discussing this with mom: 1. Does she already wear a necklace or wristband? Would she prefer the necklace because she is used to wearing a necklace already? Or does she want the wristband because she already wears a necklace? 2. The necklace is going to be more accessible during an emergency. If there is a case where mom falls and has her arm pinned behind her, she may not be able to access the wristband. So think about what mom might want to wear, and more importantly talk to her!

A senior alert button will give your mom confidence!

Open

There's nothing worse than being unsure what you'd do in an emergency. How would you get help? Would you be able to make it to a phone? Most seniors prefer to live independently in their home for as long as possible, and having an alert button is a great place to start! Your mom won't need to worry because there is a solid emergency plan in place, and she will find herself feeling more comfortable in her own house. All this comes from just knowing that she can press the button to activate her elder alert and get help whenever she needs. You'll be amazed at the "peace of mind" that you experience as well. The rest of your family will be able to rest assured that mom is protected thanks to her elder alert system…

Customer Reviews

"I'd like to take a moment to commend one of your employees, Casey… Casey was very patient and took me through step by step of what to plug in where… My mother is 89 and lives alone. Your service is vital to her staying in her home with some level of independence.

Casey is an example of a caring, knowledgeable and patient customer service representative. He portrayed your company in a very positive manner. I hope you are proud to employ (and reward) such a wonderful person."

Sincerely,
Jeannine L.
