Jeff's best test for elderly monitoring representatives you call

Here is a simple test when you talk to their representatives. When it comes time that they ask you for the order after telling you about their elderly monitoring devices tell them that you want to think about it.

Now listen for the fun or aggravation to start, the pushy sales types will keep asking for your credit card or bank account information… over and over again.

Then simply ask for a brochure. You will find them giving you a hard time by saying things like:

  1. It will take a week or two to receive the brochure, why don't you order now.
  2. You don't have to check with your parents seniors never want an elderly monitoring devices, just give me your credit card.
  3. Whatever you do, don't give them your phone number. Watch, the next day they will call you by capturing your caller ID, and they will be far more aggressive about you ordering now and giving them your credit card or your bank account details again.

Just learn to say NO and sit back and watch the fun.

Take the Time to Make an Informed Decision

Call everyone and order their brochure… you will quickly detect with your "gut meter" who is good and who makes you feel uncomfortable.

Be careful not to sign any long term contracts… they are impossible to get out of.
I'm just sayin'

We have no long term agreements, you can cancel at any time and we give you a 30 day money back guarantee.

Yes we are available in every single town in the United States, even if your home is in a rural area.

We Care!

Can I use your Emergency Alert Button in the bath?

Open
I talked to a customer of ours yesterday who was concerned because she likes to take regular baths but had a bad experience once getting out of the tub when she slipped and fell.  She wanted to make sure that she could wear our emergency alert button in the bath.

Elderly monitoring devices by the American Senior Safety Agency are completely waterproof and designed to be worn in the bath or shower.  We know that the bathroom can be a dangerous place for a senior and we want you to wear our emergency alert button when you do take a bath or shower.  That way, you'll always be protected. Complaints with Personal Security Alarms in Iowa

Open
I recently spoke to a woman in Iowa who wondered how she could check complaints with companies who sell personal security alarms.

The best way to detect which company has lots of complaints for predatory sales tactics is to go on Google and search “Complaints against (Their Company Name)”.   You will be shocked how many complaints appear from untold numbers of customers who feel they were duped from companies who sell elderly monitoring devices.  Take the time to read them and you will save yourself a great amount of grief.

Buyers beware!  Take the time to research all of the companies you are interested in and order all of their brochures and speak to their customer service representatives.  Your “gut-meter” will let you know who the good companies are quickly. [Read More...]

I have arthritis. Will I be able to press the button on your elderly monitoring devices?

Open

We find that all of our customers who have arthritis are still able to press their help button and activate their elderly monitoring devices correctly. Pressing the help button for one of our elderly monitoring devices does involve giving it a good press. But it is certainly not hard to do and does not involve a lot of strength. Whenever you press your help button a loud long tone will sound from the speaker box. This sound means that you pressed your button properly and it is beginning to alert our monitoring center that you need help. You never need to worry if you pressed the elderly monitoring devices pendant too softly because you will be able to hear it working immediately :) … It really is that easy!

Does an Elderly Alarm call the Paramedics directly?

Open
Some seniors don’t understand how an Elderly Alarm actually calls the paramedics.  Do elderly monitoring devices call the paramedics directly?

During an emergency, the senior presses the button on their elderly alarm.  The transmitter sends a signal to the speaker box which then calls a monitoring center.  Once notified, the monitoring center will begin to talk with the senior over the console that is part of the elderly alarm.

At that point, they can tell the operator what the problem is and paramedics and/or family members can be notified. Of course if they cannot speak or hear, the paramedics will just be dispatched as a safety precaution.  That is a basic summary of how the whole emergency process works with elderly monitoring devices. One alarm system monitor works for both upstairs & downstairs

Open

Do you have a two story house? We have many customers who have two stories that are able to use their elderly monitoring devices both upstairs and downstairs. This alarm system monitor covers up to a 3500 square foot area! I recommend plugging in your alarm in a phone jack close to your stairwell because this will allow the alarm system monitor to communicate more effectively with your dad while he is on the other floor. You'll then test the system and make sure he can hear our operator on both floors. Its important to realize that the voice to voice communication aspect of our system is secondary to getting your dad help. In any case that our operators are not able to speak to a client over one of our elderly monitoring devices they will assume that the client is in trouble and get them the emergency services. Your alarm system monitor will work both upstairs and downstairs, and even when your dad is not able to speak…

Customer Reviews

"I'd like to take a moment to commend one of your employees, Casey… Casey was very patient and took me through step by step of what to plug in where… My mother is 89 and lives alone. Your service is vital to her staying in her home with some level of independence.

Casey is an example of a caring, knowledgeable and patient customer service representative. He portrayed your company in a very positive manner. I hope you are proud to employ (and reward) such a wonderful person."

Sincerely,
Jeannine L.
