Can I Still Get Help Now if I’m Unconscious?

Recently, a man asked me if he can still get help now even if he is unable to press the emergency button on his medical pendant. He said he is prone to fainting/dizzy spells and is concerned. Senior Safety can do a lot, but we cannot help someone if he/she doesn't press the emergency button. This is how we know an emergency is occurring. If you even think you may faint or become unconscious, you can't press that button too soon. That's why you wear it on your body, so it can always be with you. Our emergency response system is so effective a service dog can use it!

This year we were contacted by a customer whose service dog was training to use our emergency response system. Now that is one smart dog! Whenever the service dog detects that his owner is having an emergency he runs to where the speaker box is, hops up on his hind legs, and pushes the emergency button on the emergency response system.
