A Help Button that is Reliable and Affordable

Having a help button helps our elderly family members feel secure and safe to remain living at home alone and independently. No doubt these systems must be reliable and affordable. What makes Senior Safety the best help button is the high quality of our monitoring service along with our caring customer service representatives.

Sometimes an elderly person finds themself in a dangerous or possibly awkward situation and needs help. This could be for medical help, fire response, or even an intruder. Having a help button to push when a senior can't reach the phone is crucial.

Having our "Rock Solid" help button gives you and your loved ones the ability to send that important first signal that help is needed to both the paramedics and to your family. Time is of the essence during all emergencies. With the push of the device, our monitoring center will know mom or dad is in trouble within 20–30 seconds, in most cases, and dispatch whatever help they need. We stay on the line to talk to them until help arrives at the home when necessary.

Senior citizens love us because we care.

Jeff's best test for all help button representatives you call

Here is a simple test when you talk to their representatives. When it comes time that they ask you for the order after telling you about their senior help button and service tell them that you want to think about it.

Now listen for the fun or aggravation to start, the pushy sales types will keep asking for your credit card or bank account information… over and over again.

Then simply ask for a brochure. You will find them giving you a hard time by saying things like:

  1. It will take a week or two to receive the brochure, why don't you order now.
  2. You don't have to check with your mom seniors never want a help button, just give me your credit card.
  3. Whatever you do, don't give them your phone number. Watch, the next day they will call you by capturing your caller ID, and they will be far more aggressive about you ordering now and giving them your credit card or your bank account details again.

Just learn to say NO and sit back and watch the fun.

Take the Time to Make an Informed Decision

Call everyone and order their brochure… you will quickly detect with your "gut meter" who is good and who makes you feel uncomfortable.

Be careful not to sign any long term contracts… they are impossible to get out of.
I'm just sayin'

We have no long term agreements, you can cancel at any time and we give you a 30 day money back guarantee.

Yes we are available in every single town in the United States, even if your home is in a rural area.

We Care!

Medical Alert Issues

Before ordering a home alert system, talk to your parents!

Open

It's surprising to me how often people order a home alert system for their parents without talking it over with them first. Often people assume that their parents will just be categorically opposed to having a help button. Rather than having an open, honest conversation about how a home alert system could benefit them, they just get one and set it up in the home. In my experience the first step to having your parents use their help button the right way is to involve them in the decision. If they are offended or put off by you not considering their input, they may choose not to wear this help button at all. It is so easy to not to wear their necklace or wristband if they don't want to. So it is important for them to realize what a wonderful thing this type of device is! First off, having a help button is not about taking away their independence. It is a good way to stay living independently for much longer. Seniors who have a medical alert live longer, more active, and healthier lives! I am sure your parents want to live in the home they love for as long as possible. Make sure they know that this is a great way for them to do that!

My first alert medical help was needed was the chest pain of a heart attack

Open
The first alert medical help is needed comes in many forms. The other day I had a heart attack at 63 that created severe chest pain that radiated down my left arm.

I knew what to do...first I popped a 325 mg Bayer aspirin into my mouth then I told my employees to get me to the emergency room NOW. I avoided a massive heart attack by getting to the hospital when I did.

I was lucky, 2 stints in my right coronary artery later I was on my way to healing. I go back next week for my left anterior descending artery to have the same process done.

When I got home my people set me up with one of my own medical alert systems so that I could push the help button if no one was around or if I fell in the shower.

Life is good!

Your First Alert Life Requires a Medical Alert is often the loss of a spouse

I'm 63 and now need a personal emergency response system just like seniors

Open
So I am the CEO of my own  personal emergency response systems and now I too need what all seniors need a help button to push if I am in a compromised position. My heart attack awoke me to the needs that the elderly have when they are recuperating from a heart attack, a stroke or any hospitalization.

When I'm alone and taking a shower who would hear me when I need help? When I find myself short of breath who will hand me my oxygen? When I have to read my medications who can read 6 or 4 point font?

The first alert that we need help could be any of these issues. I needed a Benedryl last night because my throat closed up...you wouldn't believe the size of the font. Impossible for good eyes to read.

Visit mom and dad to see how well things are situated for them. Can they open their pill bottles? Do they take their medications properly? Can they open difficult packaging? Did you protect them with a personal emergency response system? [Read More...]

Can Hospice be called when using your Medical Alarm?

Open
My mother is in a hospice and I was wondering if when she pressed her help button you could contact the front desk instead of contacting 911.

Beth
Jacksonville, FL

Hi Beth,

As long as the hospice front desk is 24/7, we could call hospice instead of 911.

I hope this helps,
