Jeff's best test for all monitoring representatives you call

Here is a simple test when you talk to their representatives. When it comes time that they ask you for the order after telling you about their service and how medical monitoring systems works tell them that you want to think about it.

Now listen for the fun or aggravation to start, the pushy sales types will keep asking for your credit card or bank account information… over and over again.

Then simply ask for a brochure. You will find them giving you a hard time by saying things like:

  1. It will take a week or two to receive the brochure, why don't you order now.
  2. You don't have to check with your parents senior citizens never want one of these medical monitoring systems, just give me your credit card.
  3. Whatever you do, don't give them your phone number. Watch, the next day they will call you by capturing your caller ID, and they will be far more aggressive about you ordering now and giving them your credit card or your bank account details again.

Just learn to say NO and sit back and watch the fun.

Take the Time to Make an Informed Decision

Call everyone and order their brochure… you will quickly detect with your "gut meter" who is good and who makes you feel uncomfortable.

Be careful not to sign any long term contracts… they are impossible to get out of.
I'm just sayin'

We have no long term agreements, you can cancel at any time and we give you a 30 day money back guarantee.

Yes we are available in every single town in the United States, even if your home is in a rural area.

Even if your voice is too soft to be heard towards the back of your home, we will still be able to get you help. So many of our new customers call us saying that they are surprised at how well they are able to speak back and forth with an operator on our medical monitoring systems. I'm searching for a senior alarm system in Minnesota. How important is it to find a local company?

Open
Hi, My parents and I have been looking at a senior alarm system for my elderly uncle. We all live in Minnesota. Is there any advantage to having finding a company with a Minnesota office?

Vicki M.

Hi Vicki, We are a national company, and we have lots of customers in Minnesota. Because medical monitoring systems connect through your phone line, it takes the same amount of time for your uncle to get help in Minnesota as someone who lives in Orange County, California (where our monitoring center is located). Our medical monitoring system is easy to set up and we never need to send out a representative to the home to set your alarm system up. Looking exclusively for a local or regional alarm service can really narrow your search and leave out some excellent companies.

I hope this helps,

There are hundreds of medical monitoring systems out there. Some of these are very big companies with customer service that is sometimes tough to navigate. What you want, among the larger, well-established medical monitoring systems, is great customer service. Asking questions like "What are your customer service hours?" can only take you so far. Trust your gut when you talk to different companies' representatives. You can often tell over the phone if they are proud of their alert buttons for seniors and their customer service!

Medical Monitoring Systems and your Telephone

Open
I am researching medical monitoring systems for my grandmother in Tampa, Florida who is very prone to falling in her home.   She has even fallen a few times while talking on the telephone.

I am concerned that if she does fall while on the telephone and presses her pendant the system won't work because the phone line is being used.  What would happen with your system?

Joanie
Tampa, FL

Hi Joanie,

If your grandmother is on the phone that is attached to our unit, the system would seize the line when she pressed the button and connect to our monitoring center so she would be protected.

If you would like to make sure all phone lines in the home are seized this way, you can have a special jack installed by your phone company (A RJ31x Jack)  that allows for total line seizure.

I hope this helps,
