While medical pendants in the first place are not a fashion statement, we understand that some of our clients are concerned about how their necklace or wristband looks. The necklace has a white button attached to a clear plastic beaded chain. This chain is a break away chain - so that if your medical pendant gets caught on something during a fall it won't become a choking hazard. The wrist alert is a black button on a black plastic watch band. While both the necklace and wrist alert come on their own chain or band, you can replace either with a chain or band of your liking. Ultimately whatever makes you feel the most comfortable works best. After all you will be wearing your medical pendants at all times!

But it is because of this worry that many seniors ask if they can wear their medical pendant to bed. Most people toss and turn at least a small amount during the night. This should not set off your medical pendant. We encourage you to wear your pendant at all times and that includes to sleep. You never know when an emergency will strike and that is why it's important to always be protected.
