Senior Monitor Systems that are Affordable & Reliable

I recently spoke to a daughter in need of a senior monitor after a recent fall her mother had while in the bathroom taking a shower. She slipped and fell and couldn't get up to call for help. She was on the ground for hours until her caretaker found her. Sadly, this is not the first time I've heard this story.

In the event of a serious fall, a senior monitor can be the difference between a life saving rescue or being stranded with no way to get help. There are two lights on your senior monitor speaker box - a red light and a green light. Both of these lights will generally stay lit at all times. But changes in these lights do occur during an emergency or power outage, so it is helpful to understand what these lights mean and what to expect… First, during an emergency the red light on our medical alerts flashes. While a number of loud noises come out of the senior monitor at this time, this red flashing light is the only visual clue that the emergency signal was received from you pressing your help button.

If one of our medical alerts does not have power the green light will turn off and the red light will stay on but appear duller. This happens anytime the machine is operating on its back up battery- this could be because of a power failure or because someone unplugged the senior monitor. Either way this is a good sign that you should check the plugs for your medical alerts speaker box and test it as soon as possible.

I talk to Senior Citizens every day who are concerned about losing their independence, which is why they are considering a senior monitor. Losing your independence as you get older can be a scary thing.  But just because you get older, doesn't mean you need to stop enjoying the beauty and wonder of life.

Take for instance, the seniors at the Samuel Miller Christian Retirement Center in Mount Holly, New Jersey.   Recently they held their own version of a "senior prom" spending the night dressing up, eating and dancing.  They even named a king and queen of the prom!

My aunt is in need of a senior monitoring system.  I am aware that the service works through the phone line but in her home she has her phone service through her cable company.  Would your senior monitor be compatible?

Senior monitoring systems with the American Senior Safety Agency is compatible and works with most cable companies. Just let us know what type of cable service your aunt has when you order to be sure.

We are aware that these days many people do have their phone service with cable or a VOIP system and our units are now designed to work with those services.
