For years, our company have been providing seniors and their families with information on how to find the best medical alert for them. One of my favorite tips since the beginning of the internet has been to type a company name followed by "complaints" to read about negative experiences from previous customers. It's something I do a lot with other companies, but don't regularly do with our own. So today I typed both "Get Help Now Complaints" and "American Senior Safety Agency Complaints" into Google…
After finding no complaints through my Google search, I visited a number of the most prominent medical alert reviews sites. We have so many medical alert customers both old and new who typed such nice things about us on the internet. I knew that our customers liked us based on the number of customer referrals we get each year to our Get Help Now service. I guess I just didn't realize how great they were at using the internet!

Jeff Miller, our CEO, was one of the pioneers of the medical alert back in 1981 and has continued to shape the industry ever since. For years, Jeff built these medical response systems by hand and delivered them door to door. Its easy to say that no one knows monitoring seniors like Jeff does. He formed American Senior Safety Agency over 15 years ago. And we are now proud to be the 8th largest medical response systems company nationwide. This is a great spot to be. Being 8th allows the flexibility to take care of our clients with the best customer service available while providing the same reliability you'd get from any of the other top companies. We've been doing medical alert systems for over 30 years now. Here's to 30 more!
[Read More...]There are a lot of regions of the east coast that are still without power thanks to Hurricane Irene. A lot of our medical alert systems customers are still evacuated and are eager to return home. As the dust settles, its smart for you to test your medical alert systems. Chances are your power was out at some point - maybe even for a prolonged period of time. And anytime your medical alert is unplugged, without power, or moved, we want you to test it. This just helps ensure that everything is plugged in properly and is still operational. It's always better to be safe than sorry! If you need help with your medical alert after testing it - just give you a call. We will be glad to help get your system back up and running as soon as possible…
[Read More...]Some people are skeptical when we initially tell them that the medical alert's two-way communication will work in up to a 3000 sq ft home. We always recommend starting off by doing a walk around test after the system is delivered and you have it plugged in. This test demonstrates the area that you will be able to speak back and forth with our operator. Today I helped a daughter and her father set up the system over the phone. When it came time to test we had the father walk from room to room until he was in the back bedroom, the daughter was surprised that the medical alert microphone was able to pick up her fathers voice. This was in a part of the house that she could barely hear him from… Medical alert technology has certainly come along way. We're always excited to see what's next!
